Sphero’s trip to Kavala, Greece

Dear diary,

I have been so stressed and busy lately. I know it is Summer and most people are on their yearly vacations – visiting the calm sea, the beautiful mountains, or just some dear relatives, but I don’t have time for all of that. I decided to continue working in the school’s summer camp because I love the kids so much and I can’t deal with not seeing them for months. This doesn’t mean I don’t deserve a tiny-little bit of vacation as well.

I decided to jump to Kavala in Greece for a fun summery weekend. It is not far from Sofia and it only took me like 3 hours to get there. I walked on the gorgeous narrow streets of the old town, drank some nice Louisa tea, saw the main fortress on top of the town and met some very cool people.

The view to the old town of Kavala is breathtaking. You can see the fortress on top.

I ate some traditional Greek food too. The best, in my opinion, were the kurabiedes – sugary almondy white sweets. I also liked the melomakarona – sweet biscuits with honey and spices. I love Greek food!

On the far left you can see the melomakarona, and on the far right are the kurabiedes. YUM!

I had a little beach time where I swam (I actually pretended to be a pirate) and got some tan from the sun. I even had company with me – my cousin – the orange Sphero mini. It was a vacation to remember, not only because of the good memories. Oh, it was an interesting adventure. I will surely remember it. Anyway, I took a nice picture of me and the cousin on the beach. Here it is:

The trip was so wonderful that I just had to take a couple of videos while I was there. I glued some of these clips together and created a cool video of the whole 2-day vacation and uploaded it to YouTube. You can see it on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P12n_RC5qPA
