I love using Valentine’s Day as a chance to bring a little extra fun and creativity into my classroom, especially with my youngest students. This year, I’ve gathered some of my favorite digital Valentine’s Day activities that let kids practice early literacy, math, and tech skills while having a blast. I can’t wait to share them with you—these are the ones my students always get excited about!

Starfall

With this online activity the students create digital Valentine’s Day greetings, they practice spoken language, word recognition, and spelling in a fun, meaningful context. They have to choose a character that sends/receives a valentine’s day letter, they also choose the words written in the letter and many other fun things. Click here to go to the digital activity on Starfall’s website.

Also, the Valentine’s edition of Starfall’s Math Journey is something I love! It adds basic number concepts through engaging, heart-themed graphics and a game-like interface—perfect for integrating literacy, math, and technology together. ABCya & Primary Games

Valentine’s Day games on ABCya and Primary Games combine simple academic content with essential tech skills like mouse control, clicking, and navigating digital interfaces. I use those websites all year round (they’ve got a lot of different games and activities both seasonal and not). The games included all look very cute and the students never know they are actually studying and exercising their brains. My students always say “Thank you for letting us play around and relax this time” after such activities 🙂 These activities are ideal for younger learners, offering playful practice that builds confidence with different technology skills (like fine motor skills and mouse control).

My Valentine’s Day Activities

This Hearts Matching Game brings a Valentine’s Day twist to learning about input and output devices in a simple, hands-on way. Students match heart pairs while reinforcing key concepts, and a bonus task is included for early finishers or extra time at the end of a lesson.

This Valentine’s Day Paper Circuit activity introduces students to electricity and conductivity through a creative, hands-on project. Using simple, low-cost materials (no soldering or real wires!), students build a working paper circuit after a short, guided introduction—making it a great fit for STEM, technology, or science lessons.

This Valentine’s Day binary coding activity helps students understand how binary works through hands-on problem solving. With multiple puzzle cards (that are also very pretty 🙂 ) and an easy-to-follow reference table, students decode messages, swap cards, and stay actively engaged—ideal for warm-ups, early finishers, or tech-free lessons.

I hope these Valentine’s-themed activities help you bring a little extra fun and engagement into your technology lessons this season. I do love seasonal activities as you know, and I always use such before big holidays. Each one of the mentioned products above I have designed to keep learning meaningful while giving students something fresh and exciting to work on, because I think they love a seasonal twist as much as we, teacher, do.

As always, thank you so much for being part of this community and for supporting my work—it truly means more than you know 💛
